Cattier superfine green clay is used in facial masks and for SUPERFINE GREEN poultices, due to its beneficial action on the skin and body. It can also be added to ones bathwater to soften the epidermis. It may be CLAY used alone or with essential oils.
Absorbent, purifying and regenerating, Cattier green clay is especially well-suited to the care of combination to oily skins. It absorbs and regulates excess sebum, eliminates toxins and impurities, revitalises the skin and encourages cellular renewal. It also has antiseptic and softening properties. With its high content of micro-nutrients, it provides the skin and body with minerals and oligoelements. Cattier green clay also has a healing and remineralising effect, alleviates joint and muscular pains, soothes burns, sore throats (when combined with essential oil of lavender), abscesses, scars and skin irritations, in addition to bloating and other stomach discomfort.

Advice for use

For use as a facial mask or poultice

Preparation of the clay paste: Pour the desired quantity of green clay into a glass or wooden container. Add a sufficient quantity of spring water to totally cover the clay. Leave it all to rest for about half an hour and then, using a non-metallic spatula, stir to obtain a smooth paste.

-For a facial mask: Apply the clay paste in a thick coat over the face and neck, avoiding the eye and lip areas. Leave on for approximately 10 minutes without allowing the mask to dry on the Product Characteristics skin. Rinse off with tepid water and dry the skin with a cotton towel. Complete the treatment by applying a moisturising cream.

-As a poultice: Place the clay paste on a piece of natural fibre and, using a non-metallic spatula, spread it over to a thickness of 2-3 centimetres. Lay the poultice with the clay directly in contact with the skin and hold it in place, but not too tightly, with a bandage. If the poultice needs to be applied to an irritated area, lay some fine gauze between the clay and skin. Leave the poultice in place for at least an hour. When it comes to taking it off, remove as much of the clay as possible, wetting it if necessary, then rinse off with tepid water and dry with a cotton towel.

For use in the bath

Pour two tablespoons of crushed clay into a large glass of spring water. Stir, using a non-metallic spatula, then add the mixture Wellcomeobtained to the bathwater.
